Awarded to Liverpool legend "supersub" David Fairclough. Fairclough was injured at the time of the final but qualified for the medal as one of the squad. Medal is 9ct gold and enamelled 'THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE CUP' / engraved 'WINNERS 1980-81'. Hallmarked. Provenance: Graham Budd Auction of David Fairclough's Medals.
