London Mint Office: The 1887 Golden Jubilee Half Sovereign 'Imposter' Coin Set (3 coins) comprised of: Jubilee head gold Half Sovereign 1887 nEF and both types of silver Sixpence for that year - the wreath and garter types, GVF. These cased together with London Mint cert and sleeve. Named the 'Imposter' set because the garter type Sixpences of 1887 were sometimes gilded and passed off as Half Sovereigns so the design was changed.
