Revolver, an extremely rare Adams MkIII Zulu War .450 Cal Service Revolver. Frame marked "WD" arrow "II", frame dated 3'79 (March 1879). Matching number '14141' "Adams Patent" in oval & "Trade mark A.J.". Sidegate loading. Proof and view marks to barrel & cylinder. Buttcap stamped "5/1879" and "T.7. over 13". Octagonal barrel 6". W/D marked examples of this revolver are rarely found. Chequered grips, in good condition with service wear. A large and impressive revolver of the Pattern issued to officers and men fighting in the Zulu War of 1879. With display stand. With current deactivation certificate.
