British Airship early selection of 11x RP postcards and a large 'nibbled' photo (R29). Inlcuding R23, R33, R80 and the HMA1 or Mayfly. His Majesty's Airship No1 was designed and built by Vickers, Sons and Maxim at their Barrow-in-Furness works, as an aerial scout airship for the RN. It was the first British Rigid Airship to be built, and was constructed in a direct attempt to compete with the German airship programme. When being moved from its shed to conduct full trials on 24 Sept 1911 in broke in two before it could attempt is 1st flight. One image shows the R33 with Crash Damage
