Chinese Export silver cup with cover, possibly made for the Indian market. Has scrolled floral decoration on a chased ground, cast bird finial on a spreading foot with brass container inside. Probably made in Canton, China, 1825-1875. Has an unidentified Maker's mark MK also has an oblong Chinese mark on the base and also has another mark on the inside of the base which reads HC. The footed base has solder round it where it joins the cup part of the item, could be in the making. Unusual item. The silver part weighs 4.52oz approx. Comes with a little research.
