1915 Star Trio named (Capt S B Kay York R) and (Capt S B Kay to pair). Housed in luxury leather display case. Stanley Burnett Kay was born Headingley, Leeds. Twice Wounded with te 7th Bn Yorkshire Regiment, 1st occasion was at Dickebusch 14/2/1916 shell fragment to right leg, the 2nd occasion was 5/11/1916 at Le Transloy GSW to right arm and leg. Later briefly attached RFC as an instructor in photography. He Died 28/1/1918 aged 26 at St Leonards-on-Sea, his Death Certificate states "accidentally shot himself with a revolver causing laceration of the brain". He is buried Leeds (Lawns Wood) Cemetery.
