South African States Postal History up to 1900, all with Durban postmarks, but different stamp combinations including one registered item. All addressed to a solicitor in Queenstown. Two items from OFS, one early 1875 Transvaal 1s registered Kimberly to Queenstown, C.Colony. A later Veldpost ZAR Newcastle cover dated 1900 to Pretoria. An unusual cover of 1898 with Portugese 'Africa Correios' for use in several colonies, this item from Lourenzo Marques to Queenstown (C.Colony), 400th Anniv of Columbus 7v from the set to 150 reis.
