Musket - a 17.7mm (.697) converted French 1822 Pattern percussion rifle, round barrel 42" with under muzzle bayonet lug. Three band stock, back action lock with heavy percussion hammer. Iron mounts, no ramrod. Light rust pitting overall, heavy walnut stock. A few odd worm holes. Butt stamped "C.S.* ?". A number of these European arms were shipped to the USA for the Civil War. Overall sound and better condition. Should clean up well. No licence required.
