German Third Reich SS-Ehrendolch (SS Honour Dagger) with 8 ½" inch spear-pointed blade etched with SS "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" (My Honour is Loyalty), with “In herzlicher Kameradschaft, H. Himmler” (In warm camaraderie, H. Himmler) over. Nickel-plated cross-guard and pommel, black wooden grip inlaid with the silver NSDAP eagle and the SS symbol. Black gloss lacquered scabbard with silver-plated chape and mount, together with its original black leather frog, the back of the belt clip stamped ‘M5/25’ plus the circled RZM manufacturer’s mark. The grip has some minor closed splitting and the Himmler dedication is considered a post-war addition. The SS dagger was an official sidearm of the SS-dress uniform and high-ranking SS leaders were presented with a dagger bearing Himmler’s inscription.
