Fairbairn Sykes Third Pattern Fighting Knife: Circa 1950s, double-edged 6 inch ‘thin-bladed’ type with much original blue, wearing to the tip, where there is some shallow pitting on one side, handle above grip stamped with the Broad Arrow and ‘WD’, below the grip is the Crossed Keys and the asterisk over ‘D’ manufacturer’s mark of J Nowill & Sons, together with its original black leather scabbard with tabs and blunt-ended brass chape.
