£180 - £200
German WW2 Bayonet for the Mauser K98k Rifle. Dated for 1939, with 10 inch single-edged blade, the ricasso maker-marked ‘E. PACK & S’ with ‘2576 / f’ over and ‘39’ on the blade back, steel hilt with black ribbed Bakelite grips, the pommel with two Waffenamt strikes, together with its black steel scabbard numbered ‘2335 / f’ and Waffenamt stamped to the chape button, and black leather frog with faint maker-mark ‘Otto Gehrckens / Pinneberg’. Bayonet close to mint with blade retaining almost all its original blueing with only slight contact rubbing through to the steel in a few places. Scabbard is dent-free with some light tarnishing and wear to the finish. A superior example.
