Rifle, a scarce Alex Henry falling block rifle for The Government of New South Wales, Australia, circa 1877. Calibre .577 / 450. Breech marked "N.A. & A. Co Ltd 1877". This denoted the manufacturer as National Arms and Ammunition Company Ltd) SN:921. Reverse stamped "Henrys Patent". Hammer unusually mounted on th eleft hand side, barrel 31". Walnut stock, profussely marked "N.S.W." and "AC93". Stock stamps (circular) Arms & Ammunition Coy, with an 'S' between arrows. Breech pinned and barrel blocked. Hammer & action in GWO. Stock complete with medium service wear. A decent example of this scarce piece. Obsolete Calibre, No Licence Required.
