Sword - 1821 Pattern Royal Artillery Officers Sword, slim fullered blade 33", etched decoration inc R.A. Thunderbolt, Cannon & "Artillery". Owners name in banner "Conway Rowley Hill RA". (Major C R Hill DSO, Legion d'Honneur 5th Class, Greek Military Cross, 1914 Star Trio. Born 1882 Farnborough. MID L/G 1/1/1916, DSO L/G 14/1/1916. Attended Wellington College. 2 Lt RA 18/8/1900). Triple bar hilt, wirebound fishskin grip, minor wear to edge, light rust patina to hilt & scabbard, wear to plating. Good example of this sword with an interesting owner.
