Pair of hand-painted saucer dishes c.1840-60, one is titled "The Meeting of Ulysses and Penelope", the other dish is titled "Mercury's Message to Calypso". Both have gilded Greek key borders, both measure approximately 23cm in width, both have some wear to the gilded rims and one has a tiny foot rim chip
