Martini henry pattern 1876 socket bayonet bushed for the egyptian .303 martini rifles, with 21 ½ in. triangular blade, brown leather scabbard with brass fittings, forte with egyptian army farsi markings applied over partially removed british ordnance marks, these bayonets were converted in the 1890’s at the citadel armoury in cairo to fit the new issue of .303” martini’s on service with the british egyptian army.
