Gents Seiko electro-mechanical wristwatch circa 1989. The white dial with gilt baton markers, date aperture at 3 o'clock.. Gilt bezel reads "Automatic Generating System" An early production example from the Seikosha factories of an attempt to use an automatic mechanical movement to provide energy to a quartz movement via a battery charging system. An unsuccessful concept due to the need for constant wrist movement but was later developed and improved. In working order. Case size approx. 38mm
