Benjamin Godfrey Windus (1790 -1867). A miniature watercolour depicting Horses pulling a carriage of gentleman. Inscribed with the date 1811 to the left and monogram BGW (?) to the right. Renowned Coachmaker and prolific collector of artworks by JMW Turner. The Windus Collection was one of the largest and most distinguished of its kind. Possibly painted for him or by him. Measures approx 10cm x 10cm. Framed and glazed.
