Pattern 1845/54 senior officer’s picquet-weight dress sword, with 32 in. single-edged slightly curved blade fullered and etched on each side with crowned vr cipher amidst scrolling foliage, ricasso with brass ‘proved’ plug, regulation brass gothic hilt and guard with vr cipher, copper wire bound fish-skin grip, together with its senior officers guild brass scabbard with twin suspension rings. good condition with minimal wear.
