Flintlock Boxlock Pocket Pistol signed ‘TOW’, late 18th Century, 50-bore, 1 ½ in. turn-off barrel, Birmingham proof-marks, border engraved action decorated with stands of arms and engraved ‘TOW’, sliding safety, slab sided wooden butt, 8 in. length. TOW – John: originally worked with Joseph Griffin at 10 New Bond Street, London, between 1772 and 1782 before continuing independently until 1795.
