George Cooke pen / ink caricature self portrait of him walking his dog with Blackpool Tower in the background, signed 'With Pleasure George Cooke Blackpool 1928', the original version was done 1924. Cooke was an artist who specialised in characteur studies of leading Circus Performers at Blackpool (these now housed in the V & A), this piece probably done by Cooke for Lucy Morton, first British lady to win Olympic Gold in swimming.
