Died 24th December 1940 when his ship was sunk by German U-boat U-65 Commanded by Hans-Gerrit von Stockhausen. Lived Fulwell, Sunderland. Remembered on Tower Hill Memorial. 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, War Medal, original named box of issue, and named award slip.
