Edward the Confessor silver cut-halfpenny, Expanding Cross type heavy issue, Spink 1177, reverse reads:- +MANNA[ ], a Mana is known of Canterbury and Lincoln and a Manna from Norwich and Thetford, this from the work of J.J.North, as the piece is from a collection formed in Cambridgeshire it is probably from Thetford or Norwich and could be die-linked, a little weak but a full cut-half, VF/NVF
