Ipswich interest. A 19th Century glass with pedestal base, etched to side 'Competitor of Ipswich, Bay of Naples 1810' (should read 1870), with a ship etched to the other side, height 14cm, diameter 10cm approx., The Competitor of Ipswich was built by E. Robertson circa 1840, in 1869 a third mast was added to the ship, in the 1860s it changed ownership between John Cobbold & Walter Cuckow, on august 27th 1870 the ship left Cardiff for Naples carrying coal
