Military General Service Medal 1847 with bars Corunna/Talavera/Ciudad Rodrigo/Badajoz/Salamanca/Vittoria/Pyrenees/Toulouse, named (Neil Howett, 5th Foot) Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. With research - Wounded at Vittoria as Neal Howitt. From Falmouth, Cornwall, he became a Chelsea Out Pensioner there in 1821 on discharge from the Army - Howitt / Howett. He is not on the published roll. A detailed search can not trace him exactly, and it may be just a serious corruption of the surname on the roll. Purchased London Stamp Exchange 1975. Researchers notes, copied papers included. Correct naming style, small edge bruise to 'Foot'. Sold as seen
