Rifle - an obsolete calibre 11mm Werndl M1867 Service Rifle issued to the Imperial Austrian Army, "Werndl" stamped to breech, flip over bolt, ladder rear sight, bayonet lug to side of barrel. Repair to action tang, walnut (?) full stock (some wear to butt). Barrel 33", light pitting to some metal parts, back action lock with stamp "800" and Crown ?. An interesting piece. Note: although obsolete by 1914 Werndl Rifles and Carbines were issued in large numbers to rear echelon troops in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Service worn, GWO. No Licence Required
