Fine cased pair of flintlock overcoat Pistols by Richardson of Manchester (and London) 1790 to 1830. A lovely pair of matching flintlock pistols, round barrels 4" engraved with a sunburst motif and "Manchester". V rearsight, swan neck hammers with rainproof pans and roller frizzens. Damascus barrels with gold bands at breech. Polished walnut full stocks with brass tipped rammers, steel trigger guard with acorn finial. Bag shaped chequered grips, steel buttplate with engraved sunburst. All screws engraved, sliding safety, silver escutcheon's, action crisp on both 1st & 2nd cock for both pistols. A faultless pair circa 1810 - 1820. In a custom made gun case with circular brass disc and brass screws to top. Contains pincer mould stamped "34". Small copper pistol flask and cleaning rod with ball top, locks signed "Richardson". Approx 28 bore. Superb lot. No licence required
