Flintlock Bustard Gun Fowling Piece by Barber & Boaler of Newark circa 1810, 10-bore, with octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 54 in. barrel, carved girdle at the intersection, the top-flat signed 'BARBER & BOALER, NEWARK', bead fore-sight, broad sighting groove to top-tang, plain flat slightly curved bevel-edged lock signed 'BARBER' below the pan, stepped and pointed tail, roller frizzen with semi-rainproof pan, swan-necked cock, walnut half-stock with dot and checker chequering at wrist, iron furniture, acorn finial, ramrod, overall length 71 in., weight approximately 11 lbs.
