Pattern 1822 William IV infantry officers sword, slightly curved 32 1/2 in. piped-back single-edged steel blade, brass Gothic hilt with folding guard and William IV cypher, fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, together with its black leather scabbard having decorative brass fittings and tight stitching. A good example of a rare sword.
