Flintlock pistol, unmarked, possibly for Naval use. Ring neck cock, unmarked lockplate, brass pan. Short barrel 5", Bore approx 23. Brass 'S' plate, trigger guard and buttcap, double muzzle band and steel ramrod. Cock works well on 1st and 2nd cock. This is a sturdy belt pistol built for personal defence in Naval or Military Service. Possibly French c1800-1815. Signs of service wear.
