Three Band Percussion Musket by Manton & Co. circa 1860, .650 bore with 33" Birmingham proofed smoothbore barrel, the top signed 'MANTON & Co. CALCUTTA & LONDON’ with block and blade front-sight and bayonet lug at muzzle, Pattern 1853 Enfield type lock engraved with a crown on the tail, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock, trigger-guard tang stamped with serial number 35105, complete with sling swivels and rod. Made for the Indian market in the style of a military Enfield short rifle.
