Samuel (Herbert Louis, 1st Viscount, 1870-1963). An original typed letter on Post Office headed paper, signed by Herbert Louis Samuel, dated 23rd April 1912, to R. J. Kelly, letter excerpt "I am glad to think that the Home Rule Billhas been so well recieved in Ireland and to know that it meets with your own cordial support", 11.5cm x 19cm approx., letter tipped-in onto card for display purposes. Samuel was the Liberal Party Leader, Home Secretary & Diplomat, together with Pye (Henry James, 1745-1813), an original manuscript letter signed by Henry Pye, undated, 24cm x 19.5cm approx., document tipped-in on to card for display purposes. Henry Pye was a British poet.
