French M1866 Sabre bayonet, manufactured at Chatellerault in January 1875. Clean blade with clear inscription. Brass ribbed hilt, in its steel scabbard (some modification work). Frog mount removed, rectangular slot cut in to scabbard 25mm, top and bottom, opposite each other. In sound condition, good blade and hilt, interesting scabbard.
