Pistol: A very good Victorian coast guard single shot percussion pistol. Barrel 6" of approximately .577 calibre. Lockplate with border engraving and crown over "VR" over Tower 1848. Brass t/guard. Swivel lanyard ring. One piece walnut stock, grip boldly stamped "BO" with arrow, LBO = Board of Ordnance. Maker stamp - Arrow Bond. Mainspring strong (gear worn & slips when cocked). Profuse inspection marks to barrel. Swivel rammer. Captive ramrod marked "T&Co" Pistol in fine condition with some service wear.
