Pistol, a large single shot .22 Calibre "Saloon Pistol" of Belgium or French origin. Octagonal barrel 8", rear V sight, large hammer, acanthus engraving to frame, trigger guard with spur. Finely chequered "saw" grip with silver escutcheon, c1880-1900. A quality pistol in VGC for its age. Marking under barrel shows "Recierge (?) Brevete". Barrel blued, trigger guard and frame possibly silver plated ?. With current Certificate of Deactivation
