Fine 54-Bore Flintlock Over-Uunder Tap-Action Pocket Pistol by Tomlinson & Co of Dublin, circa 1800, with turnoff plain round 2" inch barrels having starred muzzles for barrel key, borderline engraved breech with strong Birmingham proof-marks below, squared boxlock action with 'TOMLINSON & CO' signature in an oval panel within a stand of flags on the left, the right hand side with a trophy of flags, central ring-necked cock, tang mounted safety-catch locking the pan, semi slab-sided walnut bag-shaped butt with un-engraved white metal escutcheon and automatic ‘drop-down’ trigger, crisp action, clean condition with traces of original finish, 7" 1/2 inch overall.
