Three hand carved wooden figures, depicting interesting characters in history, each mounted on a hand engraved plinth describing who they were, each signed to rear side of plinth 'H Pepper', figures comprise 'John Coan' ('The Norfolk Dwarf', weighed 34lbs at age 22, measured 38in. Kept the Dwarf Tavern in London.); 'Jeffery Hudson' ('Dwarf to King Charles I', measured 18in at age 30. Died age 63 in The Gate-House, Westminster.); 'Kelham Whitelamb' (born 1765, Wisbech. Known as "The Flower of the Fair" at St. Bartholomew's Fair, lived in Ipswich in 1786.), tallest 17cm approx. (including plinth)
