GB - early historical cover sent 29 May 1727 by Josiah Burchett, Admiralty Office (hand signed by Burchett who was Secretary to the Admiralty 1694 to 1742, previously secretary to Pepys 1680). Addressed 'On his Majesty's Service, To Isaac Townsend Esq, Commis'n of his Majesty's Navy. Reverse of cover stamped with transit Bishop mark '29 MA' in black circle.
