Barn Owl standing right, head front in very delicate heathland, sky background. 19th century and of high artistic merit, by the Norwich taxidermist T.E. Gunn 1844-1923. He won 21 gold and silver medals and diplomas in 1883. See original label, which survives on the reverse of the case. Much of his work is in the Ipswich Museum. Original eye is still in place. Approx. size 13" x 16½" x 6½". A rare survivor in this condition. Ex. J.C. Sadler Collection.
