British Sporting Tankard: Wolverhampton W. F.C. - an extremely rare winners tankard for the F.A. Cup 3rd Place Playoff, Season 1972-73. Base stamped 'EPNS'. The tankard engraved 'THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP THIRD PLACE [F.A. badge] and SEASON 1972-3' (Wolves 3-1 Arsenal, at Highbury - attendance 21038). Only 60 of these tankards were issued in the five 3rd place finals between 1970-1974. Details with lot.
