Rifle: A scarce Great War, 1914 dated SMLE volley sight, MK III service rifle. Calibre .303. Fully WD marked. Mag cut off. Windage rear-sight, full volley sights. Good woodwork. The MK III (volley sight) rifles were the BEF standard service rifle 1914-1916 after which it was gradually replaced by the MK III. Deactivated to EU spec with current certificate.
