Enfield two band conversion of a military musket, Tower lockplate with VR Crown to tail, and "1861 Tower" in front of hammer. Barrel 32" with military proofs. Brass trigger guard and buttplate marked "R.E." (Royal Engineers) and "23" (unit) and "4" (gun rack number). Half stocked with some worm, original ramrod. Overall in decent condition. Military marks including sold out of service stamp & storekeepers mark. Bore: approx 20 bore, smooth barrel. No licence required
