Flintlock Pistol by Brunton London, circa 1800, 8½" round bronze barrel octagonal at the breech with London proof marks. Engraved stepped lock plate 'Brunton', with bolt safety lock on half cock, floral engraving to lock plate and hammer. Silver barrel pin plates ? and silver escutcheon with owners initials. Stock with twig like chequering but sides of the butt flattened, fully stocked. Originally bought for sea service. A fine collectors piece
