Sword, an 1827 Pattern Naval Officers Sword. The property of Commander James Pike of the Aircraft Carrier HMS Albion. Gilt brass mounted sword made by Wilkinson Sword Co London. Blade 31" etched with GV cypher and fouled anchor (blade near mint). Wire bound fish skin grip, lions head pommel, brass guard with crown and anchor motif. In its fine brass mounted leather scabbard. Lot comes with three photographs inc one of Pike in uniform, and two of HMS Albion. Lot vended by decent.
