Three hand carved wooden figures, depicting interesting characters in history, each mounted on a hand engraved plinth describing who they were, each signed to rear side of plinth 'H Pepper', figures comprise 'Hopkins Hopkins' (born 1737, Llantrisant, Wales. Measured 31in tall and weighed 13lbs. Died 1754.); 'Catherine Kelly' ('The Irish Fairy', born August 1758, Ireland. Measured 34in tall and weighed 22lbs. Died 1785, Norwich.); 'Chevalier Dessasad' (an officer in the Prussian Army but later fled to England. Died 1775 aged 72 years, and buried in St. Brides' churchyard), tallest 17cm approx. (including plinth)
